Renew in three simple steps
Acquire 25 Continuing Education Credits (CECs) within the 3 year time frame.
Fill out the Recertification Application Form.
Purchase the renewal package, then upload the Recertification Form and all CEC documentation.
Recertification is required every 3 years to remain current.
The certification renewal fee is $149. This is done within 60 days prior to expiration. However, if all of your CECs have been acquired through NART courses/quizzes only, then we will WAIVE the $149 fee.
RENEWAL LATE FEE
If certification expires, there are late fees associated with recertification.
$29 (1 - 15 days post-expiration)
$49 (16 - 30 days post-expiration)
$99 (31 - 60 days post-expiration)
If certification is expired beyond the 60 day mark, then student must re-enroll. If student has acquired all CECs through the NART courses, then the renewal fee is waived, however, late fees will NOT be waived.
We require 25 CECs for certification renewal. One contact hour will equate to 1 credit.
As you may notice, when looking at courses from other organizations, they may refer to them as Continuing Education Units (CEUs). This term is interchangeable.
Additionally, the NART goes off a whole number system versus a decimal system. Credits earned from an organization that uses a decimal system will count as a whole number. For example, if you take a course that has 0.2 CECs, then this will qualify as 2 CECs in the NART. Therefore, in the decimal system, 2.5 CECs is equivalent to 25 CECs for certification renewal.
The courses/quizzes already purchased cannot be repurchased/reused for future CECs to recertify through the NART.
Lastly, the CECs are only validated if purchased/completed within the 3 year time frame of your current certification.
When updated, recertifying students will receive the latest edition of our personal training textbook, in digital format. If you wish to have the physical version, the cost is $79.
